INTERIM CEO PAUL DAVID ANNOUNCED WHILE FOUNDER REGAINS HEALTH POST CANCER DIAGNOSIS

BREA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mommy & Me Cancer Foundation (MAMCF) co-founder and chief executive officer Jennifer Boyd today announced her decision to step down after receiving a diagnosis of stage one cervical cancer in May. Paul David, a member of the MAMCF advisory board since the organization’s inception in 2013, and husband to the first MAMCF beneficiary, the late Desiree David, will assume the role of CEO as Boyd remains on staff as the beneficiary advocate director. A nationally recognized charitable organization, MAMCF provides financial, emotional and educational support to mothers facing cancer while simultaneously raising minor children.

INAUGURAL GALA RAISES MONEY FOR MOMS BATTLING CANCER

In a show of great community support and a celebration of life, more than 200 people attend-ed the inaugural Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation Gala in June in Brea.
The event, which raised awareness and support for mothers who have cancer and who are raising minor children, was the culmination of hard work and dedication by MAMCF founders Jennifer Boyd and Sean O’Neill.
The event featured a sit-down gourmet dinner, live music and a silent auction that featured autographed items by professional boxer Manny Pacquiao and former Lakers forward Metta World Peace.
